ISHAM is a world wide organisation that represents all scientists and doctors with a special interest in fungal diseases. ISHAM is an independant society that is non-political and non-discriminatory. It exists solely to encourage and facilitate the study and practice of all aspects of medical and veterinary mycology.

The Mycological Society of America is a scientific society dedicated to advancing the science of mycology - the study of fungi of all kinds including molds,yeasts, lichens, plant pathogens, and medically important fungi.

                                 PURPOSE

The  association is an international  private not for profit educational research society  under the direction of the institute with chapters  forming in areas of the Americas, Asia and the European Union for the study of toxic mold in human habitations, promote its investigation, education, public awareness and its remediation technology. As a public service we provide information and support through mutual exchange of scientific and technical knowledge.

Committee Membership - the association considers qualified members to serve on various committees and advisory boards supporting the membership. When completing the membership application state if you are interested and qualifiers for such interest.

 

 

Membership Application

Active Inspector Membership:  Free upon acceptance of application. For those that have been performing inspection or testing for mold for more than one year or have completed at least 25 inspections and commitment to a long term pursuit in the research and study of fungal mold in relation to human and animal health.

Associate Membership : $50.00. Includes our news and research mailing and membership listing.

General Membership  : $100.00 per year. Includes subscription to our publication Fungal Mold and Mycotoxins in Human Habitations , eligibility to enroll in DNA molecular biology seminars and training and to  participate in selected research projects. We also include free related legal consultations from our legal department to professionals. Members and fungal mold inspectors and specialists may also submit original study and research  papers for consideration to be published after membership and peer review.

Certified Membership: Upon completion of a qualifying courses of trainging and passing the institute's exam a certificate is issued recogniziing the advanced study of fungal mold mycology in research, study and application.
